Counselling and Psychotherapy

My Approach

I offer in person therapy  in North London (Finsbury Partk/Stoke Newington N4) and West London (Little Venice/Paddington W2) and on-line therapy to individual adult clients.

I offer a confidential place for you to explore your concerns, troubles, hopes and fears in a respectful, non-judgemental environment. Therapy can be healing, rewarding and transformative - even enjoyable and exciting; this comes through commitment and the building of a safe therapeutic relationship, where painful and difficult emotions and experiences can be worked through.

I draw from  a range of therapeutic schools, traditions and practices.  This means the way we work is unique to you, supporting you to make the changes you want to make,  increase your self-awareness, and/or to meet the goals you have set yourself. There is no fixed agenda or technique. Everyone is different - I am guided by your needs. Along with space to talk, express and listen, many of my clients find breathing and mindfulness practices, visualisation, dream work, imagery, art and other forms of creative expression very helpful as part of their therapy. For some clients, working with the body and sound is a powerful and releasing way to make discoveries about themselves.

We always agree together how we work. You set the pace - it is your time, your space.

"This being human is a guest house.

Every morning is a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor...

Welcome and entertain them all.

Treat each guest honourably.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in.

Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.”
